So this is WAY overdue, but I figure late is better than never.
I wasn’t even planning to go - I was actually planning on going to a Fringe shoot. But then Fringe wrapped early, and I heard SPN was on location. So, this is the story of how I ended up spending my Valentine’s watching Jensen and Jared *G*
Lots of fangirly rambling under the cut, but not a lot of pics.
My friends and I got to watch Supernatural filming some scenes from Repo Man! I got there in the morning when they were filming in the parkade. I started across the street, but decided to go up and talk to the PAs and see if there was a good spot I could watch from that was closer. Luckily, the weren’t filming any of the sidewalk area at the time so I was able to stand on the sidewalk right by where Jared and Jensen were waiting. The crew had asked me not to take any pictures then, so I didn’t. I am a bit disappointed though, because I usually see them filming at night, and can only get crappy pictures.
This scene? I’m probably being blocked by the heads of the guys on the right XD
We got shuffled around while they changed the setup a bit, but we were able to stay to watch them filming all of the scenes in the parkade and talked to some of the crew in between takes. The filming itself didn’t take too long. It was mainly the setup that took a while, since it had recently snowed, and the crew had had to spend the morning shoveling.
They were filming in the area all day, but the setup for the next scenes seemed like it would take a while, so I left and decided to come back later on.
This scene was filmed in front of an English school, which was kind of funny because we kept seeing people go in, and do a double-take when they saw the “Idaho Animal Shelter” sign on the door. When I saw the episode, I kept wondering what show I recognized Jeffery from, and I didn’t realize until halfway through that he looked familiar because I’d seen him on location that day *facepalm*
We left again after that scene, and came back in time to see the scene of Sam and Lucifer walking down the alley being filmed. I actually walked right by Jared without realizing it was him at first, but I looked up in time to smile and give him a little wave. And then we realized Mark was there too, and we were all “OMG” because seriously, Mark Pellegrino = awesome. The crew said it was ok to take pics then, so I got some. But like I said, night shoot + bad camera + bad photographer = crappy pics.
Poor Mark looked ridiculously cold in between takes :(

My friends and I were right around the left corner in this scene. Also, the guy in the background? He was a local who the crew could not get out of the shot. I think he was drunk or high or something, because he looked so… *dazed* by the spotlights LOL
We stayed a bit after Jared and Mark had left and talked to some of the crew, talking about the show and what goes into making it, and that was just such a cool experience.

Screencaps from Home of the Nutty
I visited the location when they were filming this episode! They actually did a lot of interior scenes at the location, which I didn’t realize at first, so I got there waaaay too early LOL.
Walked around a bit with my friend, and didn’t see anything filming. I guess we got there after their daytime exteriors. Totally random, but the construction worker in the background of the scene where Dean drives into the alley was an actual construction worker. I did manage to spot the cars they used in this episode though!
We went back at night and saw the front of The Century House all lit up:
It took a while before they started filming. They had to set up some big lights, the fog machine, and get the POS of the week into position. I also saw a group of girls wearing white dresses walking out and being driven off. My first thought when I saw them was “virgin sacrifices”. I was actually not too far off the mark LOL.

And then we saw Jared walk onto location! I waved really excitedly like a silly fangirl and felt kind of embarrassed after the fact, even though Jared waved and smiled back. But I was just like, “did I really just do that? Way to be cool, self.” *facepalm*
This was the scene where Sam drives in to save Dean from Emma. I watched Jared drive down the street, get out, and run into the building. They did three takes, in about a half hour, and the final scene ended up being a few seconds LOL.
They probably could’ve finished sooner, but they had to stop every once in a while to let traffic through. In between takes Jared seemed really happy, talking to and hugging some of the crew members. And we heard his gigantic laugh from across the street XD
All in all, it was a good day, despite the cold. And I got to meet some more awesome SPN fans! :D
More pictures are in my Supernatural on location group on Flickr. It’s mostly of the set and the car though, you can’t really see Jared, so don’t get your hopes up :P
Feel free to use the pictures for any non-commercial purposes, although I would be surprised if anyone wants to use my, admittedly crappy photos. I’d appreciate a link back to my flickr or tumblr if you do though!
Gag Reel Laughs - Season 1

I love how in this photoshoot, Jared and Misha are all :D
and Jensen is all SRS BZNS MODEL!FACE
SO much love for behind the scenes stuff like this. I wish we’d get more outtakes of their photoshoots, because TBH I’m not really liking the overly ‘shopped final versions.

I spent an afternoon watching Fringe filiming episode 4.09 back in October!
They were filming downtown, conveniently in front of a cafe, so me and my friends were able to just park out butts in front of the cafe and watch them filming! It was kind of crazy how close we were able to get to the actors. We didn’t realize it until the extras were dismissed, but the person sitting at the table next to me was an extra! And I think some fans were mistaken for extras that day, too. I mean, with so many people around, it’s hard to tell who’s an actor and who’s not.
And OMG but I didn’t realize I was sitting two tables away from Jared Harris until he got up to do his scene! It was the bit where he starts handing out the money, although I guess they were doing closeups of other people then, because he didn’t have the bag or the thermos while I was watching.
And after they’d wrapped the scene we walked around the set and had fun looking at all the fake NYC stuff. The props have an INSANE amount of detail on them, for things that ended up being on screen for maybe a few seconds.
This was the first time I’d seen an actual scene being filmed (as opposed to seeing crew and equipment gathered around the mouth of an alley), and it was so cool to see the cast and crew at work!

And I know that my photos aren’t all that great, and I doubt anyone would want to use them for anything, but I’d appreciate a link back to my flickr or tumblr if you do!
